Role Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct patient assistance under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, adhering to the Aide Plan of Care.
  • Utilize appropriate techniques to facilitate safe patient transfers and mobility in accordance with hospice protocols.
  • Effectively communicate any changes in patient condition and meticulously document care provided to ensure seamless continuity of service.
  • Implement established infection control measures, maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients and their families.
  • Support patients in achieving proper nutrition and adequate hydration.
  • Contribute to the operational efficiency of the hospice while demonstrating strong time management capabilities.
  • Administer treatments and procedures in line with hospice policies.
  • Advocate for the hospice philosophy and uphold administrative standards to guarantee high-quality care.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma preferred. Completion of a recognized training program or competency evaluation as specified in Medicare regulations.
  • Licensure: Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification and valid driver's license required.
  • Experience: Preferred minimum of one year in a similar role within hospice, nursing, or long-term care settings, along with completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Home Health Aide Program.
  • Skills: Proficient in reading, writing, and verbally communicating clinical information. Demonstrates a genuine interest in the well-being of patients, particularly the elderly and ill. Successful completion of the Aide Competency Evaluation Skills Checklist is required.

Transportation: Reliable transportation and valid auto liability insurance are necessary.

Compensation: $25 per visit.
