Role Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct patient support under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, adhering to the Aide Plan of Care.
  • Utilize necessary skills to assist patients with safe mobility and transfers in accordance with hospice guidelines.
  • Accurately report any changes in patient condition and document relevant information to ensure seamless continuity of care.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols, maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment while fostering respectful communication with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Assist patients in achieving proper nutrition and hydration.
  • Contribute to the effective management and operation of the hospice, demonstrating strong time management abilities.
  • Perform treatments and procedures in line with hospice policies.
  • Uphold the hospice philosophy and administrative standards to guarantee high-quality care.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma preferred. Completion of a recognized training program or competency evaluation as specified in Medicare regulations is required.
  • Licensure: Current CNA certification and valid driver's license are mandatory.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of experience as a Hospice Aide or Nursing Assistant in relevant healthcare settings is preferred, along with completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Home Health Aide Program.
  • Skills: Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate clinical information effectively. A demonstrated commitment to the well-being of patients, particularly the elderly and ill. Successful completion of the Aide Competency Evaluation Skills Checklist is essential.

Transportation: Reliable transportation and valid auto liability insurance are required.

Compensation: $25 per visit.
