This position plays a crucial role in the development and operation of New Glenn, a versatile heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle designed for regular transportation of personnel and cargo to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar space, and beyond. Its first stage is entirely reusable, and the vehicle is engineered from the outset to accommodate human spaceflight.

As a vital member of a dedicated team of collaborators and problem-solvers, you will significantly influence the future of space exploration, necessitating your unwavering commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail for consistent and secure space travel. Your role will involve engaging in the formulation and execution of engineering processes for Test and Flight Operations systems. We seek an experienced professional with outstanding communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills who can excel in a dynamic environment. You will primarily oversee the implementation and management of comprehensive engineering processes for the integrated ground systems utilized by Blue Origin's product lines, ensuring adherence to company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and enhance engineering and program lifecycle management policies, procedures, and standards for Test and Flight Operations systems.
  • Lead initiatives in Process Modeling, Measurement, Problem-solving, Root Cause Analysis, Non-Manufacturing Process Design, and Risk Management.
  • Identify and execute system and process enhancements to boost efficiency and quality.
  • Establish effective, efficient, and predictable systems through process stabilization.
  • Focus areas include Process Analysis, Improvement, Execution Planning, and Operations Planning.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in development process definition.
  • 5+ years in a highly regulated industry (automotive, medical device, aerospace, etc.).
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Proficient in product lifecycle management (PLM).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Exceptional technical writing and presentation abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with export control regulations (EAR/ITAR).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the aerospace sector.
  • Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Familiarity with requirements development/management tools such as DOORS.
  • Experience with PLM and/or data management tools like Windchill.
  • Knowledge of collaboration tools such as Confluence and JIRA.
  • Able to work with partially defined requirements and evolving criteria.
  • Database management skills.
