The Internal Audit Department (IAD) at Discover is committed to delivering insightful evaluations, leveraging specialized expertise, and providing an outstanding experience to our stakeholders. IAD plays a crucial role in Discover's risk management framework and is esteemed as a reliable partner by management.

Position Summary:

The Internal Audit Direct Banking Team is responsible for assessing the risk management framework, controls, and governance that support the business objectives across various Discover entities. This team conducts audits on operational aspects and consumer compliance elements within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute assigned audits utilizing departmental tools within established timelines and communicate findings with clients and audit leadsCreate comprehensive risk assessments and evaluate controls based on industry best practicesEnhance professional skills through mandatory training and pursuing advanced degrees or certificationsAssist in the development of work programsIndependently audit components of business unitsConduct testing with autonomyEvaluate risks associated with business activities and potential exposuresEmploy data and analytical tools throughout audit engagements

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in fields such as Social Sciences, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Business, IT, or AnalyticsRelevant Experience: 2+ years in applicable fields including Applied Sciences, Engineering, Operations, Accounting, Finance, Business, Computer Science, or Data Science

Preferred Qualifications:

1+ years of experience in public accounting, financial services, or consultingMaster's degree in Business, Accounting, or FinanceCertifications: Six Sigma, STEM, CIA, CPA, CRCM, ABA, SHRM, PHR

Compensation:

The base salary for this position ranges from $65,000.00 to $109,000. Additional incentives may be included in the total compensation package based on factors such as location, experience, education, and skills.
