Our Team

The Internal Audit Department (IAD) is dedicated to delivering valuable insights, leveraging specialized skills, and providing an exceptional experience to stakeholders. Our team of professionals is skilled, collaborative, hard-working, and motivated to deliver high-quality work consistently in a dynamic environment. IAD is an essential component of Discover's risk management structure and is highly regarded as a trusted partner by management.

Job Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned audits using department tools within set timelines and discuss findings with clients and audit leads
  • Develop detailed risk assessments and evaluate controls based on best practices
  • Enhance skills through required training and pursuing advanced degrees or certifications
  • Assist in designing work programs
  • Audit business unit components independently
  • Conduct testing autonomously
  • Assess risks of business activities and potential exposures
  • Utilize data and analytical tools throughout audit engagements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in various fields such as Social Sciences, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Business, IT, or Analytics
  • Relevant Experience: 2+ years in relevant fields like Applied Sciences, Engineering, Operations, Accounting, Finance, Business, Computer Science, or Data Science

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in public accounting, financial services, or consulting
  • Master's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance
  • Certifications: Six Sigma, STEM, CIA, CPA, CRCM, ABA, SHRM, PHR

Compensation and Benefits

The base pay for this role ranges between $65,000.00 to $109,000.00. Additional incentives may be included in the total compensation package based on factors like location, experience, education, and skills. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
