Position Overview:
The Audit Senior plays a pivotal role, reporting to the Audit Manager and/or Audit Partner. This position is accountable for orchestrating and overseeing client engagements and projects, ensuring the successful completion of all engagement tasks and project components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple client engagements concurrently, ensuring each project's overall success.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the client's operations.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients to gather essential information, resolve issues, and promote additional services.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of work performed.
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve engagement and technical challenges while providing timely updates on engagement progress.
  • Assist in identifying business development prospects and crafting new business proposals, budgets, and fee estimates.
  • Support billing processes and collections.
  • Mentor and supervise Audit Associates.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to complete engagements, including:
    • Preparing financial statements, footnote disclosures, and management letters.
    • Assisting with engagement administration, including developing audit programs and tailored procedures, budgets, and engagement letters.
    • Establishing work schedules utilizing effective project management techniques.
    • Researching and analyzing financial statement and audit-related matters.
    • Reviewing and preparing Form 990 and associated tax returns.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.
  • CPA certification and active license (or actively pursuing certification) preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of audit experience in a public accounting environment, with a preference for nonprofit audit experience.
  • Familiarity with Form 990 and related tax returns preferred.
  • Experience conducting audits for nonprofit organizations; ERISA audits and single audits are a plus.
  • Comprehensive understanding of GAAP, generally accepted auditing standards, internal controls, and complex audit methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks, ProSystem fx Tax, Engagement, and GoFileRoom software (or equivalent tools).
