About the Role:
This role is designed for an experienced audit professional to oversee and manage audit engagements within the nonprofit sector. You will be a vital part of a reputable CPA firm recognized for its expertise in nonprofit organizations and privately-held businesses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead audit teams in executing client engagements for nonprofit organizations.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff members, fostering their professional growth.
  • Act as the primary contact for specific client accounts, ensuring seamless communication and engagement management.
  • Create comprehensive engagement plans, including budgets and timelines, while monitoring progress and adjusting as necessary.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, delivering exceptional service and maintaining professional integrity.
  • Formulate tailored audit strategies and oversee the preparation of financial statements and other essential documentation.
  • Analyze client transactions and address any unusual situations with appropriate solutions.
  • Manage the overall audit process, including resource allocation, billing, and timely delivery of work products.
  • Ensure client satisfaction through ongoing communication post-engagement.
  • Prepare Form 990 as part of the audit process for nonprofit clients.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
  • Specialization in nonprofit organizations is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of taxation is beneficial.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of audit experience in a CPA firm is required.
