Position Summary:

The Internal Audit Direct Banking Team assesses the risk management framework, controls, and governance that support business objectives across various Discover entities. This team is responsible for auditing operational aspects and consumer compliance elements within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct assigned audits utilizing departmental tools within established timelines and communicate findings with clients and audit leadsCreate comprehensive risk assessments and evaluate controls based on industry best practicesEnhance professional skills through mandatory training and by pursuing advanced degrees or certificationsAssist in the development of work programsIndependently audit components of business unitsPerform testing autonomouslyEvaluate risks associated with business activities and potential exposuresLeverage data and analytical tools throughout audit engagements

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in fields such as Social Sciences, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Business, IT, or AnalyticsRelevant Experience: 2+ years in applicable fields like Applied Sciences, Engineering, Operations, Accounting, Finance, Business, Computer Science, or Data Science

Preferred Qualifications:

1+ years of experience in public accounting, financial services, or consultingMaster's degree in Business, Accounting, or FinanceCertifications: Six Sigma, STEM, CIA, CPA, CRCM, ABA, SHRM, PHR

Compensation:

The base salary for this position ranges from $65,000.00 to $109,000. Additional incentives may be included in the total compensation package based on factors such as location, experience, education, and skills.
