DINING PROGRAM OBJECTIVE:

Our culinary program is locally inspired, aligning with The Lodge's mission through a focus on sustainability, quality, and well-being. We invite guests to gather at the table, take a break from work, share ideas, and enjoy the community's company while savoring menus influenced by our Appalachian surroundings.

We utilize carefully sourced, high-quality ingredients to craft simple yet skillfully prepared meals that nourish and delight our guests.

POSITION SUMMARY

The ideal candidate for this position thrives in a dynamic environment. The Kitchen Support/Dishwasher role is essential to the daily operations of the kitchen. This position is a crucial component of the kitchen team, responsible for ware washing, stewarding, stocking, and organization to ensure operational efficiency. There is potential for career advancement within the kitchen.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform ware-washing duties.
  • Ensure all wares are polished and stored according to our high standards.
  • Assist with rolling silverware, folding napkins, and busing tables as necessary.
  • Monitor and report any equipment maintenance issues.
  • Adhere to daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, following safe food handling practices.
  • Consolidate and rotate prepared products to ensure prolonged quality and usability.
  • Carry out stewarding tasks such as receiving, stocking, and tracking inventory to comply with established food safety standards.
  • Assist chefs with food preparation tasks as assigned.
  • Set up buffets and beverage service stations.
  • Restock and refresh service stations as needed.
  • Support kitchen production and meal preparation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality.
  • High energy and a positive attitude.
  • Basic understanding of kitchen operations and equipment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
