Position Overview:
The ideal candidate for this position will thrive in a dynamic environment and possess a genuine passion for preparing fresh, nutritious, and high-quality cuisine. Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year of experience in a professional kitchen setting.
- Must possess or be willing to obtain food safety certification (training provided by the company).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong teamwork skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient knife skills, knowledge of food identification, food preparation techniques, and ability to follow recipes accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute food preparation and cooking tasks for events as directed by the Sous Chef, including basic vegetable prep, sauces, stocks, meat fabrication, and other advanced culinary techniques.
- Plan production schedules over multiple days to ensure efficient workflow.
- Perform stewarding duties such as receiving, stocking, and rotating inventory.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, adhering to safe food handling practices and proper rotation of prepared items to ensure quality and longevity.
- Assist with dishwashing duties for kitchen production and meal events.
- Ensure compliance with daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
