As a Strategic Partnerships Manager within ALG Vacations, your primary responsibility will be to drive additional revenue through designated Host accounts associated with Travel Impressions, Apple Vacations, Funjet Vacations, United Vacations, Southwest Vacations, and Blue Sky Tours. You will cultivate and strengthen relationships with host agencies, focusing on their independent contractors (ICs). Employing a consultative sales approach, you will identify opportunities for growth and revenue enhancement, leveraging preferred partnerships to execute effective engagement strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and nurture strategic alliances with Host agencies and their independent contractors (ICs).
  • Utilize preferred relationships within Apple Leisure Group Vacations (ALGV) to secure commitments and drive revenue growth.
  • Adopt a consultative sales methodology to align the needs of agencies/ICs with ALGV's offerings.
  • Secure revenue commitments from ICs for the relevant brand(s) and implement engagement plans to achieve these targets.
  • Maintain detailed records of all activities in Salesforce to manage commitments and sales interactions at the agency/IC levels.
  • Meet sales objectives by analyzing data and targeting ICs with the highest potential.
  • Respond promptly to agent inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure effective follow-up.
  • Represent ALGV at industry events to explore new business opportunities and secure additional revenue commitments.
  • Foster brand loyalty through strategic initiatives such as joint marketing plans, agency education, and effective product differentiation.
  • Utilize reporting tools to monitor profitability, trends, and goal achievement.
  • Enhance distribution through the VAX booking platform in alignment with established objectives.
  • Monitor competitive activities in the marketplace and provide insights during reporting and meetings.
  • Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned by management.
  • Exhibit a commitment to Hyatt's core values.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA) from an accredited institution; or three or more years of relevant experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred experience in the travel industry, though candidates with transferable sales backgrounds will be considered.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time, including attending host events, meetings, trade shows, and training sessions.
  • Strong understanding of customer service principles and practices, ensuring high-quality standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of marketing strategies and tactics for promoting products and services.
  • Experience in consultative sales with a solid grasp of sales techniques and control systems.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills, capable of positioning ALGV as a solution to agency needs.
  • Strong analytical abilities to interpret reports and take action to drive revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey product benefits effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage a high volume of inquiries while focusing on proactive sales activities.
