As a Strategic Partnerships Manager within ALG Vacations, your primary responsibility will be to drive additional revenue through targeted Host accounts associated with Travel Impressions, Apple Vacations, Funjet Vacations, United Vacations, Southwest Vacations, and Blue Sky Tours. You will cultivate and strengthen relationships with host agencies, focusing on their independent contractors (ICs). Your approach will be consultative, identifying opportunities for growth and revenue enhancement, leveraging established relationships, and executing tailored engagement strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and nurture strategic alliances with Host agencies and their independent contractors (ICs).
  • Utilize the preferred relationships of Apple Leisure Group Vacations (ALGV) to secure commitments and drive revenue growth.
  • Adopt a consultative sales methodology to align the needs of agencies/ICs with ALGV's offerings.
  • Secure revenue commitments from ICs for the relevant brand(s) and implement engagement plans to achieve these commitments.
  • Maintain detailed records of all activities in Salesforce to track commitments and sales interactions at the agency/IC level.
  • Meet sales objectives by analyzing data and targeting ICs with the highest potential.
  • Respond promptly to agent inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure effective follow-up.
  • Represent ALGV at industry events to explore new business opportunities and secure revenue commitments.
  • Foster brand loyalty through joint marketing initiatives, agency education, and effective communication of our value proposition.
  • Employ reporting tools to assess profitability, identify trends, and monitor goal progress.
  • Enhance distribution through the VAX booking platform in alignment with established objectives.
  • Monitor competitive landscape and provide insights during reporting and meetings.
  • Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned by management.
  • Exhibit a commitment to Hyatt's core values.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA) from an accredited institution or three or more years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred experience in the travel industry, though candidates with transferable sales backgrounds will be considered.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time, including attending host events, meetings, trade shows, and training sessions.
  • Strong customer service skills, with a focus on quality standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of marketing strategies and tactics for promoting products and services.
  • Experience in consultative sales, with a solid understanding of sales techniques and control systems.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to position ALGV as a solution for agency needs.
  • Strong analytical abilities to interpret reports and drive revenue growth.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate product benefits clearly.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage a high volume of inquiries while meeting proactive sales goals.
