About the Role

The Small Business Banking Relationship Manager is a key position at Axos Bank, responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of business banking clients. This role involves developing strong relationships with business owners, understanding their financial needs, and providing tailored banking solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Acquisition and Retention: Grow and manage a portfolio of small business deposit accounts, build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective business banking clients, and act as the primary point of contact for the small business owner.
  • Business Development: Generate new business by calling on customer requests for information, setting phone appointments, making outbound calls, opening new accounts, following up on funding for new accounts, and cross-selling other bank products.
  • Customer Service: Retain existing business by handling rate negotiations and addressing customer needs to add value, handle incoming phone calls, and service existing customers.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with others on the Small Business Team to ensure fast and efficient processing of accounts.
  • Risk Management: Manage risk and ensure compliance with BSA/AML regulations to drive quality for new and/or existing relationships.
  • Performance Metrics: Responsible for meeting individual assigned sales goals for deposits, fee income, and customer service satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Experience: 2+ years' banking experience, with a focus on small business banking
