Gillette Children's is seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Specialist to join our team. As a Patient Access Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive exceptional care and service from the moment they arrive at our clinic.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional patient experience and access for patients and families within Gillette clinic settings.
- Promote and maintain excellent and positive patient and family experience as the first impression of the organization.
- Primary point of contact for patients and families arriving to Gillette clinics, obtaining, updating and verifying all patient demographic and financial information.
- Schedule appointments across all medical specialties and integrative care services timely, efficiently, and in alignment with the patient's unique needs and care plan.
- Connect patients and families with on-site amenities and assist in clinic navigation for an optimal patient experience.
- Promote and enroll patients and their caregivers in our appointment reminder system and MyGillette patient portal to increase ways in which families can engage with their care.
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1 year experience with customer service, administrative, or healthcare setting
- Advanced education (Associate or Bachelor's) preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology, commercial insurance carriers and standard insurance forms
- Strong computer aptitude including knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Demonstrated strength in customer service, organization, attention to detail and the ability to work independently
- Demonstrated strong teamwork skills
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and respond quickly/reprioritize changing needs
