Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Deputy Chief HR Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of human resources strategies and initiatives that support the organization's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the human resources function, including planning, developing, and implementing HR initiatives and programs.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive HR policies, procedures, and standards that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Lead and manage a team of HR professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders to develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and other financial plans to ensure effective resource allocation and management.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing laws, regulations, and best practices in human resources, providing expert advice and guidance to the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including those related to employment, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with employees, managers, and stakeholders to promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in human resources, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful HR strategies and initiatives.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of HR information systems and technology.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in Human Resources or related field.
  • Experience in higher education or a related field.
  • Knowledge of grant and government contracts.
  • Experience with Service Contract Act Administration (SCA).
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with HR information systems (HRIS).
