Shift: Full-time, Monday to Friday, between 8 am and 5 pm, on-site.
Compensation: $20.00 per hour, with potential for quarterly bonuses and an $800+ referral bonus, plus paid holidays.

As a Sales Representative, your responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting in the formulation of all contractual agreements for group room reservations, with oversight from the Home Office, Area Sales Lead, and Sales Manager.
  • Supporting the sales team in cultivating markets and transient travel through negotiated terms, including corporate and medical segments.
  • Engaging all market segments through various outreach methods, including phone calls, in-person meetings, virtual visits, trade shows, and other established strategies.
  • Establishing and upholding all contractual agreements for meeting and catering facilities.
  • Assisting the sales department in maintaining meeting rooms, equipment, and catering services, collaborating with other departments to ensure successful event execution.
  • Coordinating banquet event orders (BEO) and specific departmental duties for events.
  • Facilitating hotel site inspections for meetings, groups, conventions, corporate accounts, and other markets.
  • Managing the posting of all payments for group rooms and meetings.
  • Maintaining corporate file organization under the guidance of the General Manager.
  • Developing marketing and promotional strategies to meet targeted needs, under the direction of the General Manager, Area Sales Lead, and Home Office.
  • Implementing proactive sales and marketing plans in collaboration with the General Manager and Home Office.
  • Enhancing market share by utilizing Agency360, identifying business opportunities from competitors, and maximizing current corporate account production.
  • Analyzing weekly and monthly reports from Smith Travel Research (STR) and communicating findings to the General Manager, Area Sales Lead, Revenue Manager, and Sales and Operations Manager.
  • Participating in the preparation of departmental budgets and overall sales objectives for the hotel.
  • Maintaining effective communication with other hotel departments regarding group activities and general operations.
  • Participating in weekly staff meetings and monthly revenue meetings to discuss upcoming groups or events.
  • Keeping an updated database of current and prospective clients, ensuring accessibility and compliance.
  • Applying best practices related to system-wide sales policies, strategies, and programs.
  • Implementing revenue management best practices in collaboration with the Revenue Manager.
  • Updating associates on competitive changes and area events.
  • Understanding and executing effective sales prospecting techniques.
  • Reviewing sales practices and adjusting strategies to meet current and future sales objectives under the guidance of the General Manager and Revenue Manager.
  • Controlling group block entries in the property management system (PMS) and attending monthly reviews with the Revenue Manager.
  • Completing required sales reports and surveys promptly.
  • Preferred: 1-2 years of customer service experience and 1 year of sales experience.
