About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Market Development Manager to join our fast-growing beverage brand. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and building strong relationships with our distributor partners and key customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day sales for assigned territory, achieving and delivering annual plans that reflect the agreed-upon brand and customer strategies.
  • Align, communicate, and support key distributor partner sales team members to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Support local marketing initiatives, including trade events, distributor events, ride-alongs, product samplings, and PR initiatives.
  • Effectively balance revenue, service, and profitability, establishing and managing key customer relationships through joint business planning.
  • Responsible for sales presentations and reports to share both internally and with distributor partners.
  • Support the execution and management of region budget, sales expense, travel, and expense reporting.
  • Participate in forecasting and planning exercises as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or communications or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of beverage sales and/or distributor management experience required.
  • Ability to build customer-focused relationships, with strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, with excellent communication, negotiation, influencing, and follow-up skills.
  • Excellent presentation, organizational, and negotiation skills, with strong problem-solving skills, time management skills, and communication skills.
  • A clean driving record and strong geographic knowledge of the respective territory is a must.
  • Must be able to lift cases of up to 25lbs each.
  • Travel outside CA would be less than 25%.
