Child Welfare Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Child Welfare Caseworker. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in building upon the strengths within families to create or maintain a stable and nurturing home for their children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess family situations and intervene when child safety is at risk
- Collaborate with community resources to strengthen families
- Visit family and foster homes to gather information and assess needs
- Attend court hearings and complete assessment tools and case documentation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Child and Family Development, Human Development and Family Studies, or other human services related field
- Two years of casework experience in public child welfare, mental health, or family services agency
- Valid Ohio Driver's License with no more than six points and use of an insured vehicle
