Summit County Children Services (SCCS) is a leading public child protection agency committed to the safety, permanency, and well-being of all children in Summit County.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the child welfare casework team in providing services to caregivers, children, and families served by SCCS.
  • Assess child safety and risk when interfacing with children and families served.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective service plans.
  • Provide education and support to caregivers and families to promote positive outcomes.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Child and Family Development, Human Development and Family Studies, or other human services related field.
  • Two (2) years' experience working directly with families and/or children in a human services or childcare setting.
  • Valid Ohio Driver's License with no more than six (6) points and use of an insured vehicle.
