Position Summary:
The Senior CRM Marketing Strategist is tasked with developing comprehensive, data-informed marketing strategies that effectively engage our clients' target demographics. This role encompasses the daily management of strategic initiatives and the identification of growth opportunities within direct digital marketing efforts, supporting the entire customer journey from initial interest to long-term loyalty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Owned Channel Strategy Development: Formulate strategic recommendations for owned channels such as email, push notifications, and direct messaging to optimize performance across various client sectors, including audience segmentation, program strategy, creative direction, and performance analysis.
- Audience Behavior Analysis: Gain a profound understanding of audience interactions within the first-party customer database, utilizing established models and tools for effective audience management.
- Creative Direction: Craft insightful creative briefs that guide creative teams in producing targeted campaign assets.
- Performance Reporting: Collaborate with analytics teams to transform performance data into actionable insights that drive marketing effectiveness.
- Client Category Expertise: Acquire an in-depth understanding of the client's industry and the unique dynamics that influence their business.
Essential Skills:
- Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly in various formats, including presentations and written communications.
- Proficient in leveraging analytics and industry insights to generate actionable recommendations based on program performance.
- Self-motivated with a track record of advancing projects independently.
- Capable of synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data to derive insights from the customer database.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration within a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with marketing automation platforms such as Adobe Campaign or Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Skilled in crafting compelling creative briefs and managing the creative workflow.
- Adept at creating engaging presentations that effectively communicate ideas.
- Comfortable navigating a dynamic and sometimes ambiguous work environment.
Qualifications:
- 5–7 years of experience in developing and managing owned-channel marketing initiatives, particularly in email and direct messaging.
- Expertise in email marketing program management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of various owned channels, including SMS and web personalization.
- Experience in analyzing audience databases to extract insights for growth.
- Proficient in implementing and managing automated email marketing solutions.
