POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Manager of Social Media is tasked with crafting and implementing social media initiatives that elevate brand recognition, engage the target audience, and drive traffic to both online and physical retail locations. This role oversees all social media channels, curates engaging content, and collaborates with various departments to align with broader marketing goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directs the social media strategy for all corporate social media platforms (including TikTok, X, Meta, etc.).
  • Oversees the social media strategy for the organization’s retail store accounts.
  • Develops strategies for engaging social media influencers.
  • Implements strategies for the organization’s internal social media advocates from retail locations.
  • Manages the strategy for in-store music and visual content displayed on screens.
  • Creates and executes comprehensive social media plans to boost brand visibility, expand the online community, and enhance customer interaction.
  • Develops, curates, and manages high-quality, engaging content across various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Plans and executes social media campaigns, promotions, and contests that align with marketing objectives and product launches.
  • Monitors social media channels, engages with comments and messages, and nurtures positive relationships with the online community.
  • Tracks, analyzes, and reports on social media performance using key metrics to evaluate campaign success and inform future strategies.
  • Collaborates closely with marketing, design, and product teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all channels.
  • Stays informed about the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to maintain effective social media efforts.
  • Identifies and engages with influencers and brand advocates to broaden the organization’s reach and enhance brand reputation.
  • Safeguards the organization’s assets and financial information by ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures and informing management of potential risks.
  • Measurable Outcomes: Growth in social media followers and engagement, expansion of the influencer program, and revenue generation through Co-Op initiatives.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Availability for on-call duties during evenings and weekends.

SUPERVISORY ROLE

  • Directly supervises Main Account Influencers and Store Account Influencers, executing supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of seven years of experience in a Social Media Manager role or similar position within the retail sector, including three years of management experience.
  • Proficient in SEO and web traffic analysis.
  • Experience with social media advertising and paid promotional campaigns.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of social media platforms, tools, and best practices.
  • Strong skills in content creation, including writing, graphic design, and video production.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Aptitude for data analysis and deriving actionable insights.
  • Creative problem-solving and innovative thinking skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems and proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
