Position Summary:
The Senior CRM Strategist is tasked with crafting comprehensive, data-informed marketing strategies aimed at engaging our clients' target demographics. This role encompasses the strategic development and identification of opportunities for direct digital marketing initiatives that span the entire customer journey—from initial interest to ongoing loyalty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Owned Channel Strategy Development: Formulate recommendations for owned channels such as email, push notifications, and direct messaging to optimize performance across various client business lines. This includes defining insights, audience strategies, program direction, and performance analysis.
- Audience Behavior Analysis: Gain a profound understanding of audience behaviors within the first-party customer database, utilizing established models and tools for effective audience management.
- Creative Direction: Create insightful briefs that guide creative teams in producing channel-specific and overall campaign assets.
- Performance Reporting: Collaborate with data science and analytics teams to transform performance observations into actionable insights.
- Client Business Acumen: Develop a thorough understanding of the client's industry and the unique dynamics that influence their business.
Required Skills:
- Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly in various formats including conversation, presentations, and written communication.
- Proficient in leveraging analytics and industry insights to derive actionable recommendations from program and database performance.
- Self-motivated with the capability to advance projects independently.
- Expertise in synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data to generate insights from first-party databases.
- Experience collaborating across teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with marketing automation tools such as Adobe Campaign or Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Skilled in crafting compelling creative briefs and overseeing the creative development process.
- Capable of producing engaging presentations that effectively communicate ideas.
- Comfortable working in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment.
Qualifications:
- 5–7 years of experience in developing and managing owned-channel marketing programs, including email and direct messaging, within an agency or marketing department.
- Expertise in email marketing program management.
- Knowledge of various addressable channels, including SMS and web personalization.
- Experience in analyzing audience databases to drive growth.
- Proficient in deploying and managing automated email marketing solutions.
