The Lead Social Media Strategist is tasked with crafting and implementing innovative social media initiatives that elevate brand visibility, foster audience interaction, and drive traffic to both online and physical retail locations. This role encompasses the management of diverse social media channels, the creation of engaging content, and collaboration with various departments to align with overarching marketing goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversees the social media strategy for all corporate accounts across platforms such as TikTok, X, and Meta.
- Manages the social media approach for store-specific accounts.
- Develops strategies for engaging with social media influencers.
- Coordinates the efforts of internal social media ambassadors from retail locations.
- Directs the strategy for in-store content and music.
- Designs and executes comprehensive social media plans to boost brand presence, expand the online community, and enhance customer interaction.
- Creates, curates, and manages high-quality content for platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Plans and implements social media campaigns, promotions, and contests that align with marketing objectives and product launches.
- Monitors social media platforms, engages with comments and messages, and nurtures positive relationships within the online community.
- Analyzes and reports on social media performance using key metrics to assess campaign success and guide future strategies.
- Collaborates closely with marketing, design, and product teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all channels.
- Stays informed about the latest trends, tools, and best practices in social media to maintain effective strategies.
- Identifies and collaborates with influencers and brand advocates to broaden reach and enhance brand reputation.
- Ensures the protection of company assets and information by maintaining accurate internal control procedures and reporting potential risks.
- Performance Metrics: Growth in social media followers and engagement, expansion of influencer programs, and revenue generation.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Availability for after-hours and weekend duties.
- Directly supervises Main Account Influencers and Store Account Influencers, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, performance appraisal, and conflict resolution.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Over seven years of experience in social media management or a similar role within the retail sector, including three years in a management capacity.
- Proficient in SEO and web traffic analysis.
- Experience with social media advertising and paid campaigns.
- Comprehensive knowledge of social media platforms, tools, and best practices.
- Strong skills in content creation, including writing, graphic design, and video production.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to analyze data and derive actionable insights.
- Creative problem-solving and innovative thinking.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems and proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
