Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Rutland Regional Medical Center. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with clinical duties, including preparing patients for exams and maintaining examination rooms and equipment.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
  • Participate in infection control and safety protocols to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent required; Medical Assistant program graduate preferred.
  • 1-2 years of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in a physician practice or outpatient clinic setting.
  • 1 year of secretarial or administrative experience, including medical terminology.
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association required; nationally accredited Medical Assistant Certification or Vermont State LNA License preferred.
