Job Summary

Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Under the direction of practice providers or nursing staff, prepare patients for encounters and assist clinicians in delivering care.
  • Maintain examination rooms, equipment, and supplies at an outpatient care site.
  • Perform clerical and scheduling duties in conjunction with patient contact.
  • Report patient care observations, deviations from patient plans, and other pertinent information under supervision.
Requirements:
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate of Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • 1-2 years of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in a physician practice or outpatient clinic setting.
  • 1 year of secretarial or administrative experience, including medical terminology.
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association.
  • Nationally accredited Medical Assistant Certification or Vermont State LNA License (preferred).
Preferred Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Infection control knowledge.
  • Venipuncture skills desirable.
Pay Range:

$24.17 per hour
