Vascular Technologist PRN

St. David's Medical Center is seeking a skilled Vascular Technologist PRN to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. As a Vascular Technologist PRN, you will be responsible for performing non-invasive and invasive vascular procedures, including carotid, venous, renal, and arterial doppler procedures.
Responsibilities- Utilize advanced imaging equipment to perform diagnostic studies and procedures.
- Work closely with healthcare team members to facilitate exceptional patient care and efficient completion of diagnostic studies and procedures.
- Adhere to customer service standards and maintain a clean, efficient, and safe work environment.
- Notify physicians of any positive findings that need attention prior to patient's release.
- Provide preliminary measurements and interpretations of examinations.
- Perform necessary equipment checks and QC procedure and reports equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
- Assist in scheduling of patients and make scheduling aware of cancellations or optimize examination availability.
- Review and revise lab protocol to maintain a high level of efficiency.
- Attend required staff meetings and conferences.
- Review performance and ensures compliance with accreditation, legal and other regulatory requirements.
- Associate Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
- Registered Sonographer (RDMS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or CCI registry in Vascular Ultrasound (RVS).
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) required within 6 months of hire.
- BLS required per St. David's HealthCare policy.
St. David's Medical Center is a full-service hospital located in central Austin, Texas. This 300+ bed facility features a 24-hour emergency department, the region's largest Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and the internationally-renowned Texas Cardiac Arrhythmia Institute and St. David's Neuroscience & Spine Institute.
The full scope of services provided at St. David's Medical Center includes cancer care, heart and vascular care, imaging services, joint replacement and orthopedics, women's services, complex surgical services, and a Bariatric Surgery Center.
