Job Summary

The Vascular Technologist PRN is responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound exams in a timely and accurate manner. This role requires collaboration with the care team to ensure safe and effective delivery of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and analyze upper and lower extremity venous anatomy.
  • Perform upper and lower extremity Venous Duplex protocols for DVT diagnosis.
  • Identify and analyze extra-cranial and intracranial anatomy.
  • Perform Carotid Duplex exam protocols.
  • Operate complex measurement and Doppler programs.
  • Produce high-quality scans of patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric.
  • Complete quality scans in a timely manner and prioritize workflow to meet STAT and urgent demands.
  • Assist physicians with invasive exams and procedures.
  • Follow Patient Care and Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Take call on a rotating basis and arrive at the hospital within 45 minutes of receipt of call.
Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound.
  • Certificate of successful completion from an accredited school of vascular ultrasound.
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
