Job Summary

The Echo Technologist PRN position at St. David's Medical Center is a critical role in the healthcare team, responsible for performing non-invasive cardiovascular procedures and diagnostic tests. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent patient care abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and indirect patient care, including diagnostic tests such as Adult Echocardiogram, TEE's, and Pharmacologic/Exercise Cardiac Stress Testing.
  • Maintain professional standards and seek professional growth.
  • Provide care to patients ranging from neonatal to geriatrics.
  • Reflect the company's values and a commitment to the Code of Conduct.
  • Execute SDH Service Excellence standards in every interaction.
  • Participate in providing continuous echocardiography service by taking call, responding to pages within 10 minutes, and arriving within 30 minutes of STAT notification.
  • Participate in maintaining a safe environment.
  • Participate in unit activities and meet educational requirements.
Qualifications
  • Associate Degree
  • Successful completion of an accredited cardiac sonography program
Experience
  • One year minimum experience as a Sonographer or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in performing all aspects of adult/pediatric echocardiography procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to precept new employees and employees not meeting expectations
Licenses & Certifications
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer
  • Preferred: Registered Vascular Technologist
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
