Job Summary

The Vascular Technologist PRN is responsible for providing high-quality patient care and performing diagnostic imaging procedures using ultrasound technology. This role requires a strong understanding of vascular anatomy and the ability to operate complex medical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consistently produce high-quality vascular scans of patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric.
  • Demonstrate expertise in vascular sonography and identify upper and lower extremity venous anatomy.
  • Perform upper and lower extremity venous duplex protocols for DVT or venous insufficiency.
  • Identify upper and lower extremity arterial anatomy and perform protocols for arterial flow exams.
  • Operate vascular ultrasound units efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in a patient-care related field or graduate of a program accredited by an agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
  • One year of experience as a diagnostic medical sonographer or one year of previous experience as a radiologic technologist.
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
