Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Vascular Technologist PRN to join our team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center. As a Vascular Technologist PRN, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasonic imaging and related procedures in all areas of ultrasound, applying sound energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment.
  • Exercise professional judgment in performance of services and maintain a demeanor complementary to medical ethics.
  • Consistently produce vascular scans of optimal diagnostic quality on patients ranging from Neonatal to Geriatric.
  • Demonstrate knowledgeable and proficiency in vascular sonography.
  • Operate the Vascular Ultrasound units efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • A single two-year allied health education program that is patient-care related, or a graduate of a program accredited by an agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), United States Department of Education (USDOE), or Canadian Medical Association (CMA).
  • One year of experience as a diagnostic medical sonographer.
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), post-primary certification in Sonography.
  • Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist with the Texas Department of State Health Services.
