Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management

The Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management is tasked with spearheading and overseeing all facets of the revenue cycle operations. This includes the management of billing, coding, claims processing, accounts receivable, collections, and initiatives aimed at revenue enhancement, all while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement both short-term and long-term objectives for the revenue cycle.
• Lead the formulation of policies, procedures, and controls for the Revenue Cycle Team, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company guidelines.
• Assess and recommend necessary organizational adjustments in response to new legislation and regulatory changes.
• Integrate new facilities into the company's systems and policies, including the implementation and training for accounts receivable billing systems.
• Collaborate with the General Ledger accounting team to guarantee accurate and timely month-end closing and revenue capture.
• Provide leadership to ensure comprehensive training for new hires is developed and executed.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), reporting, aging, and organizational goals to identify areas for process enhancement and establish team priorities.
• Work with other departments to develop reporting and KPIs.
• Supervise claims submission and processing to reduce denials and maximize reimbursement.
• Manage departmental budgets and control costs effectively.
• Cultivate a collaborative and high-performance workplace culture.
• Ensure billing and coding practices are accurate and compliant to mitigate revenue loss and regulatory complications.
• Prepare and deliver regular financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Evaluate and select revenue cycle software, tools, and vendors, and oversee the implementation of new revenue cycle applications.
• Stay updated on changes in healthcare reimbursement policies and adjust processes as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Licenses and Certifications:
• CPA or MBA preferred
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in Healthcare required, with a preference for experience in Pharmacy Revenue Cycle.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, stretch, stoop, walk, and move intermittently during working hours. Ability to lift at least 50 lbs is required. Effective verbal and written communication with colleagues, supervisors, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and all business associates is essential.
