Job Overview

This position is pivotal in steering and overseeing the comprehensive revenue cycle operations within a mission-driven organization. The successful candidate will manage critical functions such as billing, coding, claims processing, accounts receivable oversight, collections, and initiatives aimed at revenue enhancement, all while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities:


• Develop and implement both short-term and long-term objectives for the revenue cycle.

• Direct and enhance policies, procedures, and controls for the Revenue Cycle Team, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and organizational standards.

• Analyze and propose necessary organizational adjustments in response to new legislative and regulatory developments.

• Integrate new facilities into the organization's systems and policies, including the implementation and training of accounts receivable billing systems.

• Collaborate with the General Ledger accounting team to guarantee accurate and timely month-end closing and revenue capture.

• Lead initiatives to ensure comprehensive training for new hires is developed and executed.

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), reporting, aging, and company objectives to identify areas for process enhancement and establish team priorities.

• Work alongside other departments to develop reporting mechanisms and KPIs.

• Supervise claims submission and processing to reduce denials and maximize reimbursement.

• Manage departmental budgets while controlling costs effectively.

• Cultivate a collaborative and high-performance workplace culture.

• Ensure billing and coding practices are accurate and compliant to mitigate revenue loss and regulatory challenges.

• Prepare and deliver regular financial reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.

• Assess and select revenue cycle software, tools, and vendors, and oversee the implementation of new revenue cycle applications.

• Stay updated on changes in healthcare reimbursement policies and adjust processes as necessary.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


• CPA or MBA is preferred.

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in healthcare is required, with a preference for experience in pharmacy revenue cycle.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, stretch, stoop, walk, and move intermittently during working hours. Must be capable of lifting at least 50 lbs. Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for interaction with colleagues, supervisors, and external business associates.
