Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate business and security data to identify emerging threats and areas for improvement in risk management.
  • Utilize knowledge of information security regulations to communicate impacts and ensure alignment with control measures.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operational teams to quantify risk control effectiveness and contribute to risk mitigation strategies.
  • Establish regular reporting systems to track compliance and performance metrics.
  • Develop indicators that reflect the current risk landscape and monitor progress towards security objectives.
  • Support initiatives aimed at continuous monitoring and enhancement of security controls through automation.
  • Conduct quality assessments on identified risks to ensure adherence to established policies.
  • Guide technology stakeholders in executing security and compliance protocols.
  • Work alongside process owners to address and remediate various risk issues, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  • Engage with technical teams to review and address identified risks and remediation strategies.
  • Oversee performance against Key Risk Indicators and facilitate action plans as necessary.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in governance, risk management, and monitoring within a large organization.
  • Strong understanding of security compliance frameworks and their application in business contexts.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based service models and the technologies that support security controls.
  • Ability to convey complex security concepts to individuals with varying technical expertise.
  • Experience across multiple domains of information and cybersecurity.

  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to Amazon's systems architecture.
  • Proven analytical skills with a track record of deriving insights from data.
  • Strong critical thinking and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
