3. At least 2 years of experience in Python scripting, with exposure to Azure Logic Apps considered a plus.

Desirable Skills:

This position focuses primarily on the operational aspects of the SIEM tool rather than traditional security analyst tasks. Candidates should be adept at using the tool daily.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer with a strong analytical mindset and comprehensive knowledge of cybersecurity practices. Ideal candidates will possess a keen attention to detail, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to perform under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.
To excel in this role, a Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer must demonstrate a solid understanding of SIEM management and be familiar with standard networking technologies, including Firewalls, Servers, and Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS). Top candidates will be comfortable navigating various technologies, addressing security challenges, and troubleshooting tools effectively.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and enhancing security protocols to safeguard organizational data, systems, and networks.
  • Leading the onboarding process for new Managed Security Services clients and deploying standard SIEM packages alongside other security solutions, such as Vulnerability Management.
  • Ensuring the effective operation of SIEM tools, which encompasses log trend analysis, data source log collection health, and appropriate rule triggering.
  • Creating content within the SIEM, including correlation rules, automation rules (SOAR), and dashboards.
  • Providing daily support to the SOC Analyst team for Indication of Compromise detection and identifying new use cases.
  • Conducting tests and identifying vulnerabilities within networks and systems.
  • Performing daily administrative tasks, reporting, and liaising with relevant departments.
  • Offering strategic recommendations to leadership and challenging existing practices.

Qualifications:

A degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in incident detection and response.
At least 2 years of experience in SIEM administration and content creation (correlation rules, queries, etc.).
Experience in both Windows and Linux administration.
Familiarity with firewall functionality, operating system security, and cloud security is essential.
Experience with Azure Sentinel and Azure Logic Apps is highly advantageous.
Proficiency in Python or PowerShell is a significant plus.
Experience with Big Data technologies is also beneficial.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving capabilities.
Awareness of current cybersecurity trends and hacking techniques.
Willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and processes.
