Front Desk Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Front Desk Coordinator to join our team at the Hamilton Community Health Network Inc. As a Front Desk Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our front office, providing exceptional customer service to patients, and supporting our clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule patients for walk-in and follow-up appointments
- Answer phone calls and take messages for staff
- Contact patients by phone to notify them of scheduled appointments and cancel/reschedule appointments as needed
- Accurately enter patient demographics, insurance, and payer codes into Centricity
- Verify insurance coverage and accurately document information in Centricity
- Ensure overall waiting room organization, including patient movement
- Collect old balances and co-payment for services and follow payment processes
- Import EMR charges and approve tickets for patient pay, sliding fee, and homeless
About the Role:
This is a full-time position that requires a high school diploma or equivalent, two years of clerical experience, or one year of experience in a healthcare setting. You must have knowledge of managed care processes, typing skills, and computer/data entry experience.
