Job Overview

As a key member of the JM Hunter Group team, the District Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth, improving market share, and increasing profitability across multiple branches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Leadership: Direct and manage a team of outside sales representatives to achieve sales quotas and exceed customer service expectations.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement sales strategies to improve sales efficiencies, expand market share, and increase revenue.
  • Team Development: Foster a positive and productive work environment, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities to ensure the success of sales staff.
  • Customer Focus: Ensure that branches meet or exceed customer service expectations, building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Business Acumen: Possess a strong understanding of the construction industry, market trends, and competitor activity.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with upper management, staff, sales staff, and clients at all levels, demonstrating strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven sales management experience in the building materials distribution industry.
  • Leadership: A track record of successfully managing a sales team, driving sales growth, and improving market share.
  • Education: A college degree is preferred, but relevant experience and a strong business acumen are more important.
