Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Account Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to achieving sales targets, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer satisfaction. The role involves developing new business in California, working with senior public-sector officials, and managing client relationships throughout the sales cycle.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets in California.
  • Articulate the value of PSD's products and services to senior public-sector officials.
  • Manage and grow your territory, maximizing revenue and building future sales pipelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Negotiate contracts and charters that align with existing business operations.
  • Deliver presentations and proposals to senior municipal government officials.
  • Closing new business deals by coordinating requirements and integrating contract requirements with business operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging market demands and competitive activity.
  • Attend municipal conferences to develop new client relationships and maintain a relevant presence in the field.
  • Utilize Salesforce to manage sales opportunities, action items, and campaigns.


Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field (Business, Finance, Marketing, etc.).
  • 3-5 years of experience managing and closing complex sales cycles in a SaaS software or technology environment.
  • 3-5 years of successful business development experience in US-based sales.
  • Experience working with local governments, preferably in California.
  • Effective listening and the ability to draw insights and develop opportunities from client meetings with senior managers of cross-functional teams.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and committed to delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Goal-oriented individual with a proven ability to drive strong business results.
  • Organized and analytical, with the ability to identify and eliminate sales obstacles creatively and quickly.
  • Experience with managing and coordinating all aspects of the sales process from proposal writing to effective closing.
  • Effective use of the sales CRM tool (Salesforce) to manage pipeline.
  • Impeccable customer-facing skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
  • Previous experience working with municipalities or local governments is an asset.
  • Ability to quickly learn and communicate the value of new PSD methodologies, products, and services.
  • Valid passport and driver's license required for international travel.


Recruitment Process
