Culinary Services Director

About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join Maplewood at Southport LLC as a Culinary Services Director. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the overall financial and operational management of our culinary services department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local sanitation regulations
- Manage the daily operations of the culinary services department, including food preparation, presentation, and service
- Lead and motivate a team of culinary staff to provide exceptional service and quality food
- Monitor and control food and supply expenses to budget or forecast
- Develop and maintain quality, objective, and standards for food service operations
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service and communication
- Conduct routine safety inspections and maintain a clean and safe environment
- Develop and maintain a good working relationship with administration and inter-department personnel
- Prepare and present reports on food service operations and financial performance
- Other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate
Requirements:
- Degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
- 3 to 5 years previous experience in food production/management
- Must have a Serve Safe certification or become certified within 90 days of hire date
- Must have basic knowledge of food preparation procedures, proper dining room service etiquette, and related Health Department regulations and guidelines pertaining to food service operations
