The Associate Director of Student Life is a key member of the Office of Student Life team at Golden Gate University. This role is responsible for providing overall student leadership, program development, and day-to-day student support.
Key Responsibilities- Event Planning and Coordination
Oversee the planning and coordination of office-hosted events, including the development, implementation, and evaluation of events such as Student Success Orientations and Welcome Weeks.
Student Program DevelopmentDevelop and implement student programs hosted by the Office of Student Life, including the creation of a robust student leadership development program.
Student Support and ReferralProvide referrals and/or resources for personal assistance support for students, including homelessness, food pantries, and general student welfare.
Communication and OutreachDevelop and maintain a communication plan for the Office of Student Life and TimelyMD, including the creation of an Office of Student Life webpage and online event registration.
Leadership and CollaborationProvide guidance to student leaders, student groups, and club faculty and staff advisors, and serve as an advisor to the Director of Student Life on risk management issues.
Strategic PlanningParticipate in the strategic planning for assigned areas and assist the Director of Student Life in developing and implementing the overall departmental strategic plan.
Qualifications- Education
Masters degree in counseling, student affairs, or similar.
ExperienceThree to five years related experience and/or training.
Skills and AbilitiesStrong organizational, planning, analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
