Foundation Health Partners (FHP) is actively seeking a Licensed Respiratory Care Specialist to enhance our dedicated team.

The Licensed Respiratory Care Specialist will independently deliver respiratory services, along with pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic evaluations, across various healthcare environments.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $28.47 to $44.49 per hour, commensurate with experience and education.
  • Retention Incentive: $20,000 Retention Incentive.
  • Relocation Support: Up to $7,500 available.

*ACLS and PALS certification is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Administer all fundamental respiratory care modalities as directed by physicians and/or licensed independent practitioners, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  2. Manage and adjust mechanical ventilators in collaboration with healthcare providers, recommending modifications to enhance clinical outcomes and patient comfort.
  3. Assemble, disassemble, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and clean durable medical equipment utilized in respiratory care, following established protocols.
  4. Conduct pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic tests as prescribed, ensuring compliance with departmental policies.
  5. Perform patient assessments and evaluate responses to care, making recommendations to physicians regarding care plans and necessary modifications.
  6. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to formulate care plans, recommend therapy adjustments, and address any challenges encountered.

All functions must be performed in accordance with established policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards, ensuring a high-quality service experience for all Foundation Health Partners customers.



Qualifications

Associate or technical degree is required.

Certification as a Respiratory Therapist (CRT) from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) is mandatory.

A current state license is required as per state regulations. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is essential.

Candidates should possess basic knowledge of clinical techniques and equipment, typically acquired through a minimum of 6 months of clinical experience. Strong interpersonal skills are necessary for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare staff. Foundation Registry and Travel positions require at least one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Additional relevant education and/or experience is preferred, including ALS, PALS, PFT, SDS, NPS, NRP, ACCS, and/or AE-C certifications.
