Position Overview:
This is a part-time role with a flexible schedule.

Role Responsibilities:
The Short-Term Care Specialist delivers immediate, hands-on support for eligible clients. The primary aim of this service is to offer respite for family members, caregivers, or guardians, allowing them to manage personal obligations.

Key duties include:
- Responding to emergencies as necessary.
- Documenting participant details and case notes in the electronic medical record system, adhering to organizational protocols as well as state and federal regulations.
- Upholding all agency policies as required.
- Participating in training workshops, in-service programs, and team meetings.
- Ensuring compliance with training requirements in line with agency policies and applicable regulations.

Qualifications:
- Preferred: One year of verifiable experience in a Human/Social Services environment.
- Demonstrated ability in direct care tasks and training.
- Flexibility in scheduling is essential.
- Competence in meal planning, food preparation, and general housekeeping duties.
- Proficient in using computers and electronic medical record (EMR) systems, with the ability to adapt to new software and hardware.

Certifications:
- Adult CPR certification is required.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to move about on foot to complete tasks, including traversing long distances.

Work Environment:
- The role does not expose the worker to significant adverse environmental conditions, similar to typical office or administrative tasks.
