  • A connection to local heritage through its exterior, constructed with 300,000 reclaimed bricks from a historic mill.
  • A scenic 1.2-mile walking trail that encircles the campus, offering a peaceful environment.
  • An artistic collaboration titled 'A Sense of Place' that illustrates the transformation of the original farmland into a healing space.

This serene, rural area is ideal for families and individuals seeking a close-knit community, while also being conveniently located near the vibrant city of Charlotte, NC, and the lively Lake Norman area.

Atrium Health Lincoln provides extensive maternity services in a welcoming atmosphere. Our birthing center, New Beginnings, features spacious rooms where mothers can stay throughout their labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum periods. We practice mother-baby couplet care, ensuring that your newborn is cared for at your bedside by the same nurse attending to you. Additionally, we offer a level 2 nursery for infants needing specialized care, overseen by a pediatric hospitalist. Our state-of-the-art infant security system ensures peace of mind during your stay.

Job Responsibilities

The RN Clinical Nurse I delivers professional nursing care through proficient assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in alignment with facility or department policies and protocols under the guidance of the nursing leader. This role also involves maintaining a safe work environment and executing all job responsibilities safely. The nurse is expected to uphold clinical and professional competency relevant to the patient population served.

  • Gather data relevant to the healthcare consumer's health or situation. Analyze this data to identify actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues.
  • Determine expected outcomes for an individualized care plan.
  • Develop a strategy that outlines methods to achieve measurable outcomes.
  • Implement the established plan, coordinate care delivery, and utilize strategies to promote health and safety.
  • Delegate care responsibilities to appropriate healthcare personnel in accordance with applicable legal or policy guidelines.
  • Assess progress towards achieving goals and outcomes.
  • Practice in a manner that respects cultural diversity and inclusion principles.
  • Communicate effectively across all areas of practice.
  • Collaborate with healthcare consumers and other key stakeholders in nursing practice.
  • Exhibit leadership within the professional practice setting and the nursing profession.
  • Incorporate evidence and research findings into practice.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of quality nursing practice.
  • Evaluate personal and others' nursing practices against professional standards and guidelines.
  • Utilize appropriate resources to plan, deliver, and maintain evidence-based nursing services that are safe, effective, and financially responsible.
  • Engage in environmentally safe and healthy practices.
  • Uphold ethical standards in practice.
  • Encourage shared governance and facility decision-making activities, fostering research to positively influence clinical outcomes.

Physical Requirements
This position requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. The ability to lift and support up to 35 pounds is necessary for handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Proficiency in English communication is required. Candidates must possess intact senses of sight, hearing, smell, and touch, along with finger dexterity. Critical thinking and the ability to concentrate are essential, as is the capacity to respond swiftly to changes in patient or unit conditions. Physical Abilities Testing is a requirement.

Education, Experience, and Certifications
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required, with a BSN preferred. Current Basic Life Support certification is mandatory per policy guidelines. A valid RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state of practice is required, or for National License Compact (NLC) states, compliance with licensure requirements in the primary state of residency is necessary.
