Position Title: Clinical Supervisor for OBGYN Services

Reports To: Clinic Administrator

Work Schedule: First Shift, Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM. Flexibility may be required based on operational needs.

Position Summary

The Clinical Supervisor role encompasses oversight of clinical operations at designated locations, with a strong preference for candidates possessing OBGYN experience. This position is pivotal in delivering exceptional patient care while executing the responsibilities assigned by the physician or RN Nurse Manager.

The supervisor will lead the clinical team in adherence to established protocols, policies, and regulatory standards, while also assisting the Clinic Administrator with various operational tasks, including but not limited to scheduling, communication, and data management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee clinical operations across multiple family medicine practices.
  • Guide the team in delivering appropriate care across all patient demographics, including newborns, children, adults, and seniors.
  • Monitor patient interactions, ensuring timely responses to inquiries and managing prescription and lab result communications.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Utilize computer systems for documentation, communication, and data management.
  • Coordinate team schedules and manage staffing needs, addressing shortages as necessary.
  • Maintain inventory for medical supplies and medications, ensuring timely orders as required.
  • Support state immunization initiatives, including inventory management and compliance with storage protocols.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, fostering a positive patient experience.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, effectively engaging with patients and team members in sensitive situations.
  • Perform nursing duties as outlined in the RN Job Description, including vital sign assessments, medication administration, and patient triage.
  • Document and report patient conditions and responses to treatments as per established procedures.
  • Assist healthcare providers during clinical procedures and maintain compliance with safety standards.
  • Support the Clinic Administrator with special projects and various clinical and administrative tasks.

Physical Requirements

This role requires regular walking, standing, and lifting, with the ability to support weights up to 35 pounds. Candidates may be exposed to communicable diseases and must possess intact sensory functions. Critical thinking and the ability to respond promptly to changes in patient conditions are essential.

Qualifications

A minimum of three years of experience in a medical office setting is required. BLS certification is mandatory, and candidates must maintain current credentials. Registered Nurses must have graduated from an accredited nursing program and hold a valid state license.

Patient Care Competence

Demonstrated understanding of growth and development principles, with the ability to provide care tailored to the specific needs of diverse patient populations.

Confidentiality and Information Security

Access to protected health information (PHI) will be limited to what is necessary for job functions, adhering to confidentiality protocols.

Equipment and Tools

Familiarity with all relevant medical and office equipment is required.
