Position Title: Clinical Supervisor - OBGYN

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Clinic Administrator

Work Schedule: First Shift, Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Flexibility in hours may be required based on operational needs.

Position Summary

The Clinical Supervisor role encompasses responsibilities across One Health OBGYN locations. Prior experience in OBGYN is highly desirable.

This position is pivotal in delivering exceptional patient care while executing tasks and responsibilities assigned by the physician, RN Nurse Manager, or Clinic Administrator. The supervisor will guide the clinical team in adherence to established protocols, procedures, and regulatory standards. Additional responsibilities include assisting the Clinic Administrator/Manager with scheduling, communication, data collection, and various other duties as required. Leading by example is essential in all clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Potential to support multiple family medicine practices.
  • Directing the team to ensure appropriate care for patients across all age groups, including newborns, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors.
  • Monitoring and compiling data related to patient communications, prescription management, and lab results, and relaying this information to the Clinic Administrator/Manager.
  • Exhibiting strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in computer applications, capable of creating emails, spreadsheets, and other documentation.
  • Coordinating the schedules and assignments of both clinical and non-clinical staff as necessary, including managing staffing shortages.
  • Overseeing inventory and supplies, including medications and emergency equipment, and placing orders as needed.
  • Supporting the state immunization program through inventory management, storage monitoring, data reporting, and team communication.
  • Providing outstanding customer service to enhance the patient experience.
  • Demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills to engage with patients, team members, and other stakeholders in various sensitive situations, maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Executing patient care duties as outlined in the RN Job Description, including health screenings, vital sign assessments, medication administration, and documentation in patient records.
  • Observing, documenting, and reporting on patient conditions and responses to treatments.
  • Assisting healthcare providers during procedures and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Supporting the Clinic Administrator/Manager with special projects and additional clinical or administrative tasks as required.

Physical Demands

This role requires regular walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, bending, and pushing. The ability to lift and support up to 35 pounds is necessary for handling patients and medical supplies. Exposure to communicable diseases may occur. Proficiency in basic English is required, along with intact sensory functions and manual dexterity. Critical thinking and quick response to changes in patient conditions are essential.

Qualifications

A minimum of three years of experience in a medical office setting is required. BLS certification is mandatory and must be maintained. Candidates must possess an RN, LPN, CMA, or RMA qualification, meeting the following criteria:

If RN: Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and hold a current state license.

Equipment Utilization

Familiarity with all relevant medical and office equipment is required.
