Volunteer Engagement Coordinator

SOME (So Others Might Eat) is seeking a skilled Volunteer Engagement Coordinator to join our Volunteer Services department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for recruiting and coordinating volunteer efforts for specific programs, ensuring the fulfillment of program and department needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, train, and maintain a volunteer corps for assigned SOME departments
  • Work with individual programs to ensure staffing and work needs are met through volunteers
  • Coordinate outreach to community organizations and individual volunteers to promote volunteer opportunities
  • Develop recruitment and marketing materials for volunteer opportunities
  • Track and report metrics as required, including volunteer registration, hours documentation, and email/phone communications
Requirements:
  • HS Diploma/GED
  • 1-3 years of experience working with volunteers
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree, 1-3 years of social services experience, and working with low-income adults in residential settings
