JOB SUMMARY
The Vice President of Ambulatory Services, Safety & Accreditation is responsible for overseeing operational, safety, and accreditation functions within specialty and primary care clinics. This position emphasizes continuous improvement, organizational support, and the achievement of strategic goals while managing the accreditation survey process. The Vice President is tasked with developing processes to minimize risks to patients and staff, collaborating with clinical and administrative leaders to enhance operational efficiency, safety, and patient care through innovative solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership:
- Formulate and execute strategic initiatives aimed at achieving superior clinical quality outcomes for ambulatory practices, in alignment with the organization's mission and vision.
- Establish and oversee comprehensive safety programs and frameworks to foster clinician and staff engagement and quality initiatives across all service lines.
Clinical Practice Oversight:
- Provide guidance on clinical practice standards, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, and supporting quality patient care alongside medical leadership and operational teams.
- Enhance clinic workflows, staffing, and resource management to improve operational efficiency and patient satisfaction while upholding high standards of quality and safety.
- Work collaboratively with clinical department leaders to address operational needs and effectively manage challenges.
- Partner with clinical education and nursing departments to promote evidence-based practices and professional development.
Safety and Accreditation Management:
- Initiate and lead the creation of a comprehensive safety enhancement program, including performance improvement, risk assessment, and policy development to meet regulatory compliance standards.
- Direct safety initiatives to achieve performance targets and accreditation benchmarks, including those set by the Joint Commission.
- Implement continuous improvement strategies and manage incident reporting systems to enhance safety.
- Ensure clinical services comply with quality and safety standards established by federal and state regulatory agencies.
- Oversee the accreditation readiness program, collaborating with various departments to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
- Manage the evaluation and investigation of organizational risks in collaboration with clinical leadership and risk management.
Technology and Innovation:
- Support initiatives aimed at productivity enhancement, technology integration, and innovative care delivery models.
- Oversee the Incident Reporting system, ensuring that safety improvements are based on clinic trend data.
- Manage the regulatory documentation processes to ensure compliance with established requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor's degree in business or a healthcare-related field is required; a master's degree is strongly preferred.
- At least eight years of progressive management experience in a healthcare setting is necessary.

WORK SCHEDULE
This position operates on a day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, with no weekend or holiday obligations.
