Vice President of Global Tax Leadership

Fortrea is seeking a seasoned tax professional to lead our Global Tax function as Vice President, Head of Global Tax. This strategic role will provide US and international tax planning and strategic tax leadership to our newly spun-out public company.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement global tax strategy in collaboration with the CFO.
- Oversee the US and international tax provision process through a 3rd party co-sourcing arrangement.
- Manage domestic and international income tax compliance, documentation, and reporting functions through a 3rd party co-sourcing arrangement.
- Research, evaluate, develop, and implement tax strategies to optimize effective tax rates.
- Stay up-to-date on global tax laws and principles and apply them to our operations.
- Identify and address US and international tax issues and their potential impact on the company.
- Oversee US sales, property, and other indirect tax planning compliance and reporting.
- Prepare and present board-level and C-level presentations as needed.
- Collaborate with senior leaders in finance, divisions, and functional departments.
- Manage relationships with Tax authorities, compliance providers, and external advisors.
- Master of Science or Master of Business Administration (with a concentration in Taxation) and a CPA are required.
- Extensive experience in US and/or international income tax is required.
- Previous experience leading a US Headquartered public company's tax department or significant public company experience in a corporate tax environment is preferred.
- Proven experience leading and building high-performing teams is essential.
- Experience working with services tax vs. product tax (e.g., transfer pricing) is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
- Experience with an outsourced tax model is a plus.
