About the Role

Ares Management Corporation is seeking a seasoned Vice President to join our dynamic Ares Insurance Solutions (AIS) team in New York or Durham, North Carolina. As a key member of our Corporate Development team, you will collaborate with AIS leadership, investment teams, and other stakeholders to drive business growth and advancement of our comprehensive business plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead transaction teams through the entire process, managing and reviewing the work of junior team members.
  • Manage fundamental due diligence and analytical efforts during the insurance/reinsurance transaction process.
  • Develop a network of industry contacts through deal negotiations, due diligence activities, and industry conferences.
  • Create key presentations for insurance company clients, rating agencies, and investors.
  • Organize and respond to information requests from third-party insurance company clients, financing sources, and investors.
  • Communicate investment recommendations and supporting facts to the investment team and/or investment committee.
  • Support transaction closings and integrations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or international equivalent required, with superior academic achievement in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 4-5+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, consulting, corporate development, strategy, or finance.
  • Sophisticated modeling and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to reduce complex problems and models into key drivers.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Evidence of intellectual curiosity, creative problem-solving skills, and adaptability.
  • Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit.

Compensation

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $200,000-250,000, with total compensation including a discretionary performance-based bonus.
