**Job Overview**

AgeSpan Internship Opportunities is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Community Programs Development Assistant. This position offers a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with our community programs team on various outreach initiatives, including food distribution programs, health fairs, and education and support initiatives.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Assist with monthly food distribution programs, ensuring timely delivery and efficient logistics.
  • Participate in summer Local Harvest program, providing free produce to older adults in housing sites and Councils on Aging.
  • Administer satisfaction surveys for Local Harvest, analyzing feedback to inform future initiatives.
  • Represent the organization at community events, fostering relationships with local partners and promoting AgeSpan's services.
  • Educate community members about AgeSpan's range of programs and services, highlighting their benefits and applications.
  • Support other agency outreach projects as needed, leveraging skills and expertise to drive success.

**Requirements:**

  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills, with a strong interest in working with diverse populations.
  • Possess reliable transportation and be willing to travel within our service area.
  • Show ability to lift 30lbs repetitively, as required for food programs.

**Estimated Salary Range:** $15-$18 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

**Work Schedule:** Flexible hours, Monday-Friday during business hours, with preferred availability on Tuesday mornings to assist with food distribution programs.
