ESL Instructor

We are seeking an experienced ESL Instructor to join our team at Lawrence Family Development, Inc. as a Community Engagement Specialist.

Lawrence Family Development, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering economically disadvantaged residents in the city of Lawrence through education and community development.

The successful candidate will receive a stipend of $4,000 for 16 weeks, working 6 hours per week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

As a Community Engagement Specialist, you will be responsible for teaching English language skills to adult students, developing individual learning plans, and monitoring student progress. You will also assist with recruitment and intake assessments of prospective students, maintain accurate records, and attend staff meetings.

• Bachelor's Degree required
• Experience teaching ESL skills to adult students preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including collaboration with staff, students, and others around program issues
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
